Mr. Fideldy began his teaching career in the Garfield Re-2 School District in 2006 as a fourth-grade teacher at the former Roy Moore Elementary in Silt, Colorado. He then taught at Cactus Valley Elementary and, in 2012, transitioned to an academic coach at Graham Mesa Elementary School. He has served as principal at Elk Creek Elementary since the 2020–2021 school year.
"As the principal at ECE, I believe it's my job to provide as many positive experiences for as many people as possible—students, staff, and families. Ultimately, we want students to feel secure in a place that makes them want to attend school the next day. Not everything we do at school is easy or always makes us comfortable; however, it's important to learn how to grow through that discomfort. Discomfort is usually just an appetizer for significant growth—academically, socially, and emotionally—and we teach students at ECE how to adjust to that so they can become the best versions of themselves possible."
